Dear Jess,

Would you be your dad has been writing about? It is absolutely

necessary to eat a substantial meal with your Gleevec and taking a nausea pill

(or Bonine) before taking the Gleevec would be a good idea to settle your

stomach first. If you are on Nexium, that also settles your stomach. One

doctor told me to stop taking it, I didn't need it, but he didn't know what he

was talking about or understand about the powerful cancer drugs we have to take.

All my otherdoctors pulled their hair out and said, " No, no, no, you need it,

don't stop. " OMG, on the days I didn't take Nexium, I was sick from a sour

stomach. I hope you are doing well with the Gleevec, most people do, especially

young people like you, they usually do exceptionally well and as far as BMT,

don't even go there, there will probably be a cure in your lifetime. Meanwhile,

get on with your life, to to school, proms and have fun.

Unfortunately being tired is a universal problem, so just sleep when you need to

and nap if you can, do whatever it takes to make your life simplier, but it

looks like you already are doing that.

Hands and hearts,

Lottie
