Guest guest
Hi everyone that was interested i n PTH info. I had a high PTH of 95 and my calcium and D and everything else was normal. I saw a endroconologist(sp) yesterday and she said that she reserached my medication and the medication I have been on in the past. first Gleevec, then Sprycel now Tasigna. she said that there is information on Gleevec and sprycel that says these medications are known to show a false reading in PTH's and since everything else was normal she wanted to just watch it. She did say she wanted to do a 24 hour urine test on me so we will do tht next week. She said she could not find the same information with Tasigna but being as it is the same kind of medication she was almost sure it was also doing a false reading. I have no other symptoms to speak of to indicate a high PTH. So we are going to watch my calcium levels very carefully and go from there.. Just wanted to inform all of you that answered my posts on my high PTH. She also indicated from my last bone scan that I do not have osteoporosis (sp) ( I am a bad speller)...My bones seem to be strong. thanks for your interest.
