Guest guest
Hi : I just re-read my message, and it sounded like I still see a doctor for testing in NY. I finished my clinical trial when Gleevec was approved in May of 2000, and then went back to my original Oncologist in New Jersey. When I was in Clinical Trial, I saw Dr. Silver. He had to be in his late 80's. He retired as soon as my trial was over, and just went to Presbyterian Hospital to do consults. I never had to go back to NY, but my doctor had to send updates into them for records until I went into remission in July of 2001. I see Dr. Schuster and he was one of the doctors that spearheaded the Gleevec clinical trials there. He is an amazing doctor. > > Dear : Thank You for sharing all of that with us. I think a lot of us tend to worry because of our CML. I did my Clinical Trial at NY Presbyterian Hospital in 2000 for Gleevec. I was in remission in 2001, and to this day I still get nervous when I have to get my 6 month PCR. > As a Matter of fact, I go this Monday to get tested. > So glad all turned out okay, and that your fine and your son too. > God Bless You > SUE >
