Guest guest
Hi there, I, too, have been fighting the weight gain and have been desperate for a solution. So, when I read about Nature Cleanse and Acai Berry capsules I decided to give it a try. I've been taking them for about two weeks and I do think they help by suppressing my appetite. Also, I think I've just been much better with my diet. Anyway, no side effects and I don't expect any. If acai berries killed leukemia cells I think the world would have heard about it by now. I have many pounds to go before I'm thin again, and I hope this helps. If I have any side effects I'll report it to the group. I'm on Sprycel, 100 mg. Hope, always. L [ ] Re: Acai Berry Capsules Hi Everyone: I am getting desperate to lose weight. I have gained so much over the past few years. I started gaining with the Gleevec, but then I think it became emotional eating from depression. I have heard of the Acai Berry, but I am afraid to take anything that could interfere with my progress with my Gleevec. I just happened to be searching through different weight loss ideas, and I decided to watch a video on Acai Berry. They also said it kills Leukemia Cells. I never heard of that. Has anyone taken them?
Guest guest
Hi , the problem I have with Acai berries and similar products are, they come from other countries that do not have regulations pertaining to insecticides. We have regulations in the US, but then import from countries that do not have them. The acai berry is most likely just as healthy as the blueberries and blackberries, especially of they are grown here. Are the capsules as expensive as the Acai juice? Guest guest
Weight gain is very important. I feel like too often this side effect is brushed off as a matter of personal vanity. But it deserves more than an " oh well " from our docs. From: suzzienovember@... Then they are saying that the Acai Berry Capsules should be from the Amazon where they are pure, and that the ones that are made here are not the true Acai Berry. Also, to be careful of imitations. That is why I asked about it. I do not watch Opra very often, but she has that Dr. Oz on there. He is the one who said it should be purchased from the original source. If anyone gets anymore information, I would like to have it before I order it. I also want to talk to my Oncologist about it. My weight gain has been substantial, not just 20 or 30 pounds. If I don't do something, I will end up dying from Heart Disease rather than CML. Hope everybody is enjoying their 5th of July Celebration. Guest guest
, did the weight gain come with Sprycel, or did you experience it with Gleevec (presuming you started with Gleevec)? Guest guest
I started on Gleevec in 2001 when I was first diagnosed and gained about 30 pounds. Then, as my response to Gleevec lessened I lost the weight. Then, with Sprycel I gained it back. I haven't found any good way to take it off! Dieting as I used to do doesn't work.
