Guest guest
Hi, Sandy Look for a large blue box, with " So Clean " as the product name. It is an Arm & Hammer product. Here, it is kept beside the green 20 Mule Team borax box, in the general area of laundry supplies ... look for the additives like stain remover. If you can't find it, baking soda is not a bad substitute ... they are very similar in composition. The washing soda is sodium carbonate, the baking soda is sodium bicarbonate. The washing soda is stronger (and is also called soda ash, or sal soda when it is in solution). Works great! Lori in P.E.I. Guest guest
I too live in land, and I have not been able to find washing soda. That seems to be a key ingredient in a recipe I have for laundry soap. Do you recall seeing any of that? Would it have a particular product name? Guest guest
Hi Sandy and all soapers, The washing soda you need is made by the Arm and Hammer Co. Here in Texas I can only get it at the Krogers store or you might contact Arm and Hammer or ask your local grocer to order some from them for you. There is also and Arm and Hammer Laundry Soap which is NOT the right stuff. It's gotta be A & H Washing Soda. Barbara > >I too live in land, and I have not been able to find washing soda. Guest guest
Hi Vicky, I have washing soda made by Arm & Hammer. Perhaps they have a website and you could order some online? Maybe a longshot there, though. However, their phone # is 1-800-524-1328. The product I have gives an address of 469 North on Street, Princeton, New Jersey, 08543. Hope this helps, Debbie

Guest guest
Hi Rose Most grocery stores will carry washing soda. The brand I buy is Arm and Hammer and I find it in the laundry aisle. It's in a bright yellow box. Your grocery store could probably order it for you if they don't carry it. Leisha Does anyone know what washing soda is and where I can buy it. I need it for a laundry soap recipe I want to try. I have always bought Borax, but can't find washing soda. Thanks, Rose

Guest guest
I am from New Jersey, but what is washing soda? My husband needs knee replacement, and is in terrible pain constantly. He has been using a heating pad to get relief. He does the pillow under the knee to sleep. It seems like everyone is down South somewhere, and hardly anyone from up North. I have to learn all these different terms.
Guest guest
G'day Suzzie - well even worse for you when I'm in Australia. I'm sure if you do an internet search you will find it. Orthopedic surgeons over here recommend using the crystals as they do work. Good luck. Guest guest
Info on washing soda. I remember my mother used it to strip down varnish before refinishing her furniture. It must be pretty tough if it can do that, but mostly, it's using in washing clothes and cleaning floors. It's a laundry soap booster. Never use it in your drain, as it hardens and you will need a plumber to come and unclog your drain. " Super Washing Soda Detergent Booster adds extra cleaning and freshening power for tough jobs throughout your home. Super Washing Soda works as a detergent booster for your laundry and can also be used all throughout the house as a household cleaner. Because it is an effective cleaner, and is an all-natural product, Super Washing Soda is sensible for you and the environment! Super Washing Soda increases your powder or liquid detergent's cleaning power. It helps to get out ground-in dirt and stains and cut through greasy soils, leaving your clothes cleaner. Super Washing Soda is all-natural; therefore, it does not damage your clothes the way bleaches can. Super Washing Soda helps to neutralize and eliminate odors, not cover them up with perfumes. It is unscented and contains no water pollutants or dyes. Clothes washed with Super Washing Soda will be ARM & HAMMER fresh naturally!
