I just realized my hearing history is a bit sketchy so I'll fill in the details. My parents found out I was deaf at 9 months old and I got enrolled in an oral program. I didn't get fitted with my first hearing aid till I was 2 1/2 years old and I didn't begin to to speak till I was 3. My mother says mama was my first word only it came out " umma " . I've been enrolled in oral program from the time I was 1 1/2 to 3rd grade and mainstreamed from 4th to 6th grade and I've been enrolled in two schools for the Deaf. I didn't learn sign till I was 13. I speak well enough that most strangers can understand me. However, I can't understand speech at all without lipreading so I expect I'll need AVT after my hook up. Guest guest
Lipreading is a skill that you have learned over the years. It will stand you in good stead AFTER you get the C.I. too. There will be times when you can hear without using it and there will be other times that you will be glad you have the skill. In my almost 30 years of wearing two hearing aids, I never learned lipreading as such, no formal tuition or anything, I just picked it up as I went along. I can now use the telephone, a medium where you CAN'T use lipreading, so it just goes to show what is possible. We are each different and its a good thing to measure ones progress by ones-self, not against someone else who might be starting off from a different base. For instance, when I was activated, I could already hear better than I could with my hearing aids, so as far as I was concerned, I was already ahead of the game and better off. Things will improve even further as you get remapped and your brain gets used to sounds it has never heard before, or hasnt heard for a long time. You are in for a very exciting journey. Do you have a lot of metal dental work in your mouth? It seems that a lot of the trouble that people have with EMF is being they have too much conductive metals in/on their body. Also, have you done any dietary modifications to improve your nutritional status? (or were you already eating healthy?) Marc
Guest guest
Hi , EMF sensitivity or any sensitivity usually occurs a part of the total toxic load on the body. I am now convinced from testimonials that a relatively new detoxification product, natural cellular defense, ncd, or liquid zeolite is the most most effective single thing for detox and with the fewest side effects. What helped a lot for me is a raw food diet: dairy, meat, eggs, vegetable juice, a little fruit, honey. Especially raw butter. If you are really thin you will benefit greatly from weight gain. When i started i was 133, and felt better as i gained weight and had huge leap at 170 lbs, then settled at 186 for two and a half years, with a period of weight loss to experiment, crashing when i dropped below 170. The conern for parasites from raw food is basically false and you can read about it if your research the Primal Diet. Magnesium is perhaps the key missing nutrient: use " magnesium oil " on the skin or interally, Concentrace internally, and dead sea salts in a bath. This is magnesium chloride, not sulphate. Mag addresses all the issues you mentioned. Clay is very helpful: eating, packs or baths. Clay absorbs toxcity and balances the body. www.eytonsearth.org The Graham-Stetzer Filters for emf noise on the lines in your house are product with high credibility. Guest guest
marc/paul marc how does zeolite and ndf work differently to homeopathic remedies. if i was to take either would it be better, as i have still the fillings in my mouth... as i mentioned before i became very unwell when i took the homeopathy due to probably the mercury going into my blood. thanks pete On 2 Apr 2007, at 01:55, sctdh wrote: > Hi , > > EMF sensitivity or any sensitivity usually occurs a part of the > total toxic load on the body. > > I am now convinced from testimonials that a relatively new > detoxification product, natural cellular defense, ncd, or liquid > zeolite is the most most effective single thing for detox and with > the fewest side effects. > > What helped a lot for me is a raw food diet: dairy, meat, eggs, > vegetable juice, a little fruit, honey. Guest guest
Hi , it would help you alot to get a job away from computers. Computer monitors and TVs are one of the worst or maybe even the worst thing for people suffering with this. I also have problems with radios and fridges, but have little or no problem with ovens. If you are sitting at or near computers all day, even being several metres away will still affect you, so what I find helps is if I use the computer for maybe 1 1/2 hours then switch it off for a couple of hours, this lessens the symptoms. It seems to me that the electrical field, rather than the magnetic is what is causing me problems and I have a computer screen filter which blocks alot of the electric field which has helped. Having heavy metals in your body is a major cause of ES and there are several ways to try to remove them and alot of threads on here are about this. And some symptoms are specifically related to mercury which several products help remove, but they also mobilize the mercury in your body which may actually make you alot worse. Guest guest
Hi , My understanding is that you should not do any mercury detox if you still have mercury fillings in your mouth. I had my amalgams removed in 2002 and did 2 years of chelation per the Andy Cutler protocol with DMPS and ALA. I still got MCS and EMF sensitivitiy. But I could very well still have a lot of metals in me...there are so many sources in the world today unfortunately. What helped me immensely with my MCS reactivity level (ie total body burden) was drinking wheatgrass every day and /or nettle infusions (put boiling water in a big glass jar with ~a cup of organic dried nettle herb and let sit overnight; strain out nettles and drink liquid when it cools). Both contain a lot of magnesium and other nutrients. Chlorophyll has the same molecular structure as the red blood cell, except instead of iron at its core, it has magnesium. So any chlorophyll rich drink/food will help with magnesium deficiencies. I developed intolerances to both liquids after a while so I stopped at the beginning of winter. I am hoping as spring/summer approaches I can start up again. If anyone decides to try wheatgrass juice, make sure it's organic, fresh squeezed and that you build up VERY slowly at first. It is HIGHLY detoxifying. I had 1 drop of it on my tongue when I started it and it made me feel hyper/wired and then 20 mins later EXTREMELY fatigued, due to it's detoxifying effect. I built up over the next few weeks to taking 3-4 oz per day. This was before I became aware of my EMF sensitivity so I can't say if it will help with that. But since it was suggested in other posts to get more magnesium, I thought I would mention this. It's not cheap to buy wheatgrass juice every day from a health food store but you could also buy a machine and buy bags of fresh wheatgrass each week from a health food store or online and do it yourself for less money. Another way to get magnesium without ingesting anything: take Epsom salt baths. NDF has been effective - www.bioray2000.com Yes, NCD does indeed seem to have a big advertising budget. :-) And some people *do* have really bad side effects from NCD... me, for example. And I've seen others who have reported the same thing on heavy metal poisoning lists. So one should be careful with the initial dose -- instead of jumping in with the recommended 10 drops at a time, try ONE DROP and see how you do! Guest guest
Hello, welcome. I have found this group to be a great source of comfort/advice and knowledge. We discovered we were sleeping and living in magnetic and high electric fields for the past 6 years. That was four months ago. Since then I have been practicing " prudent avoidance " of EMF's. I have tested many things and drive the car with least fields (0 at head, 4 mg at my feet) I have most of the electricity off. I recognize that I have a history of exposure to EMF's and also that I have much toxins exposure over the years and recently (new wood floors) and my immune system was shot. The toxins were coming in faster than my body could process them. I have been working with detoxifying and better nutrition. I recently eliminated dairy which helped at first but sometimes the nausea returns. I have a persistent chest rash and my daughter has rashes as well. the weirdest healing that happened for us was hair growth which was apparently stunted from the EMF's. Here's a list of what has definitely helped so far: Turning most of the power off. (there is so much I could say in praise of living with less electricity) . repairing the magnetic field problem. Immune system tea. Nettles combo tea. green tea. improving my diet. seeing ES as a spiritual journey. deepening my ability to self care. acupuncture , chiropractic. Tibetan herbs. cranial sacral work , aura cleanse/healing. spending time in nature. I've removed the dimmers, and fluorescent kitchen lights.I removed most electronics where possible. And continue to troubleshoot the RF and am currently working with the stetzer filters, and recently am doing a dance with how to get the best use of the Stetzer filters and keep most of the power off. I really like the filters, they do seem to help. What I have not done yet: I have not changed to a non metal bed, and have not switched to a lap top on battery. I am seeing this journey as a process now which feels better than the fear and grasping not knowing etc. state I have been in. Sometimes I want to feel better NOW and not have this discomfort or sleeplessness or anxiety or panic...but better when I can focus on what is needed now and having patience to heal. Cheers, Sandi

The energy just wops passed most of our evolved defence systems. By the way has anyone downloaded the Swiss environment agency doc called Guidelines to electrosmog ? I ordered 12 copies for free and these are a good document to hand to the non believers. They state in this documenet that there is no sensory organ to detect emf, but I disagree, for one the largets organ in the body is this not the skin ! jam packed with sensory equipment. Not to mention the fact that med science is not as smart as it might like to portray.....

Guest guest
Hi , I know this is a very scary time for you and your husband. You really want to have a onocologist/hemotologist that has knowledge of CML as alot of doctors do not. CML isn't a very common form of leukemia. In the beginning I was having my blood tested a couple times a week. Gleevec can affect the liver as it did my and then I had to be switched to a new medicine. It doesn't happen to to many people but some are affected. It caused me to go into Gleevec induced hepatitis, that is why your husband needs to watched closely. I was dx in 11-05 and there were some ups and downs until things settled down. Now my last PCR test the cells were undetectable. We are so lucky to have the new target drugs, and someone with CML can be expected to live a long, productive life if we take our meds. I take my faithfully everyday exactlty as prescribed. Besure to write down you questions to ask the dr because you will be given so much information your head will spin. The Leukemia Society is also a wealth of information. This web site is also a wonderful source of information, compasssion, friendships, you name it this site has it. God Bless you and your loved ones.
