Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to say thank you for all how have given ideas and suggestions to

help with my medical issues.I am 41 and I have a ton of other medical issues and

take tons of pills/vitamins/minerals etc.

I believe most my side effects are Gleevec related.I never had the side

effects prior to Gleevec.I had stopped taking the lasix and then I noticed the

eye issues getting worse.It was suggested to me to start the lasix again and see

what happnes and I did.The eye issues are less severe with the lasix.So maybe it

was edema in the eye ares causing me vision issues.

I have IBS with constipation(15+ years)I never had diarhea until Gleevec.I now

will have hard pebble stools with explosive Diarhea immediately after the

pebbles(sorry TMI).So I have constipation with Diarhea In the same B/M.Very

weird..

I have AGB(adjustable gastric Band) and GBS(Gastric Bypass Surgery).My

intestines have been bypassed to create malabsobtion.No one knows how much of

the meds /vitamins I am absorbing.I am Vit D defic and Iron also.Not sure how

these procedures are affecting my CML.

I have bone /joint/muscle pain prior to Gleevec but it was controled with Ms

Contin,Norco and Flexeril.Since CML my pain issues are increased and I am

extremely fatigued now needing more sleep now and always feeling tires after

sleeping several hours.I also have insomnia and take Lunesta to help me fall

asleep.I am exhausted yet can't sleep without aid.Weird again..

I no longer exercise.I am bedridden.I shop for groceries and then pay the price

for about 3 days trying to recoupe from the event of grocery shopping..I only go

to Dr appts and grocery shopping now.I have been on Gleevec for a little over a

year now and the side effects are not getting better/going away as many here

have experienced.I see the DR. on the 16th and am pushing to change meds.We have

discussed it but he seems leary of the change and keeps putting it off.He is not

a specialist.I am not close to one.I am not up for a 2-4 hour drive to find one

closer.Maybe on a different med I can have some strength back and look into a

specialist but not now under these conditions.

Thanks again for those sending me suggestions on how to beat these side

effects..Looking forward to feeling better.
