Guest guest
Dear Peggy, I am glad that Sue told you about this group. We have varied experiences, some on Gleevec for over 10 years and some who became intolerant after short and long term use. We never know what to expect from any drug. What I have come to expect is loyalty and kindness from this group. We are rich in the knowledge that we can turn to each other with our problems and find answers and solace. It feels as good as when my mother used to kiss my scratched elbow or knee, and put a band aid on it to make the pain go away. Finding this kind of encouragement is a gift that we try to pass on when we feel we are ready for the task of encouraging others. My mother taught me to " pass it on " and I think each in his or her own way tries to do that. I still remember the people who sent me my first posts and how uplifting it was for me, thinking I was going to die. You are in good hands here, Peggy and welcome to the group. I think I just heard a cheer coming through my speakers from the group. You have scored a touch down. Hands & hearts, Lottie
