Guest guest
Sizzie, OMG!!! I am so happy to hear that!!! I do wish we could go away to a quiet place and celebrate together. Tell me-do you have any side effects???? How old are you? I am 66 years young. I also got mine back today, and I am PCRU 5 log reduction. Too bad we could not celebrate together. My husband was off from work tonight, but I cooked the dinner. What I have been doing is, everytime I get my PCR test result back, I go buy myself a present to celebrate. My family laughs at me. Guest guest
My PTH was very high so they put me on a real high dose of Vit.D. Since my other kidney and liver tests were normal they kind of think it is a reaction to Tasigna. I have no other symptoms. I will have my PTH done again next month. In the mean time I take 2500u of vit day a day and a calcium tablet. Then when I see how far I have gotten since 1998, I know I am so blessed. I will be 62 in November. I still get the fatigue, foot and hand cramps etc. I just saw my Oncologist, and he said a lot of my discomfort is Arthritis. I am also due to have that Parathyroid checked in Sept. How is yours? Guest guest
Hi - I have just celebrated my 2nd CML anniversary with 12 months on Tasigna and have been ongoing PCRU since December 08. I love Tasi, but unfortunately I have got a stomach ulcer on it, but hopefully is healing with meds and am feeling much better! Guest guest
Hi Sharon - yes it is great! Sorry I forgot to add my congratulations too. I'm still on the same dose of Tasi - 400mg twice a day. I see my haem/t next week and will discuss with him then about dosage. At least my symptoms have subsided a lot since starting Somac and I have a follow up gastroscopy in 2 months to make sure the ulcer has healed/healing. I also got a super imposed champhylobacter infection and that was certainly no fun! Guest guest
Yep I thoroughly agree Sharon. I would love to drop back to just 400mg in the morning, it would make life a lot easier! That is the thing with Glivec - all the stats are on the board, while the equivalent info is still very much in the early days with Tasigna.
