Gleevec vs Tasigna

I went to my new Dr this morning and he mentioned that he is gonna switch me to

Tasigna in 3 weeks when I go back to him. I felt awful this morning and he

thinks it is side effects from the Gleevec but I think I have a kidney infection

or urinary ract infection. I am hurting very bad on my left side in my back and

it radiates down my leg plus my urine smells awful. He didn't check any of that.

He told me I need to go to a general Dr for those things. Oh well, he is surely

not Dr but I guess he will have to do. What are some of the side effects

I can expect with the Tasigna?

Hi

I have been on Tasigna for over a year. I was so worried about taking it and

kept waiting for things to happen. Nothing did. I have gained weight but I

can work at it and control it. My hair has thinned a little other then that

I feel wonderful! Normal. I take 600mg a day. I started at 400 but did not

reach PCRU till I went on 600.
