Guest guest
Hi I take my glivec in the morning and then all other medications at least 5 hours after so take those in the evening I have just come out of hospital myself for day treatment to take off a couple of moles - given a bag of antibiotics. Even then - advised not to take with glivec, given a lower dose of antibiotics but over a longer time to take - instead of 6 days - 10 days, instead of 4 per day - two per day because they were worried about drug interaction. Very important that you discuss with your CML specialist what other drugs you are taking and the issue of drug interaction. Even the drug interaction of the other medication you are taking. Example My Mum is in her late 80's Taking drugs for this and that - and when her specialist asked her what she takes (medication). She forgot to state her glaucoma eye drops, over the counter health products etc. We went home and he asked for me to write down everything she takes - and we went back to him - amazing how much my mother was putting into her system in the belief she was helping her health. Many of the drugs she was taking were interacting. Now on 4 drugs only which includes her eye medication. So you need to be very careful Sue (Aussie) __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4289 (20090729) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com
