Guest guest
Welcome home Bobby!!! I am so glad you had a " blast " . I am sure you deserved it. I am sad to hear that one of your friends passed away. That is never good news no matter how long it had been since you saw each other or even talked to each other. I have a very good friend that I went to school with from 1st grade- graduation from 12th and we don't talk very often but each of us knows that the other one is there if we need each other. I had not seen her in several years until my Mom passed away in June of last year and she was right there holding my hand through the whole thing. She is one of the very best friends I have ever had. I have always heard that when times get tough you will find out who your real friends are! I would say that's true. Glad you made it home safe and I am glad you will be getting a Dr you like (or do you know if you like him/her yet?). Blessings, From: ROBERTA DOYLE <rcd1929@...> Subject: [ ] home from vacation! " " < > Date: Monday, July 13, 2009, 6:29 PM Hi All, I'm home, and yes,, I did have a " blast! " I went to our annual high school reunion, and while it is great to meet up with old friends, it sure is funny for those old friends to be grey, wrinkled, bent over with age, and saying NO to a cocktail, except for me of course, I never say no, and had two of them! I was saddened by the death of my very oldest friend, and my playmate from age 2 to high school. Also by the fact that someone I went to school with from kindergarten is now suffering from Alzeimer's, and while she was there, she truly was not there. Had a great time with the family, big family cook out put on by my sister's grandson, who apparently has learned a lot more than studies after two years of college! And the weather was great and so was the driving, I did all the driving, my daughter poured the coffee and got the sandwiches! Now, to U of Mich and Ariad. I only go once a month, and I only get labs once a week. I found out today my local onc is retiring, and I have to get another, and that's great, I don't like the one I have now. So in Sep. I have my first apt. with the new one. Same hospital, same lab, so that is good.
