I am having my tests next week so fingers crossed still PCRU Vivian - Champers on the 6th - I mean we all should have a drink and raise our glasses - and say at the same time - lets make it 7.00pm - United in Health Lottie - I will have a drink for you and Jimmy too !! Glad you are back on deck ___________________________________________________________________ Fund Raising - Light the NIght My fund raiser for Light the Night - going fantastically well Raised around $7000.00 (Aust) and still 5 weeks to go I have 3 or functions still to go My Soup Kitchen has 4 weeks left - tomorrow Chicken and Corn I now have cooking classes - pasta and mediterranian sauces (Professional knife sharpener to the chefs for anyone who participates gets a knife sharpened free. Have raffles etc on the day Then when all cooked - participants eat all the food - Yeh!! I have 3 of these classes for the next 3 weeks. Two Afternoon Tea Parties whereby everyone must wear a hat. I have just purchased a hat that you would wear to the horse races so I can also wear to the Perth Cup and Melbourne Cup Lunches in Australia, plus the tea parties. I have already made about $800 on the tickets with heaps of auctions and raffles on the day so may pick up a couple of more $100's In two weeks - the Light the Night LF are having a Cocktail Party to Launch the campaign and I will be there having my cocktails for the Launch. I am actually having a great deal of FUN As I told Bobbie, Jackie and Tracey I must stop putting food into my mouth - and the weight loss girls are starting all over again - today ladies was a good day - said NO to food at least 400 times. Tomorrow is my soup kitchen so thank goodness that fills me up Cheers Hugs to you Twinnie Viv - not often that one has a CML twin - diagnosed same day decades apart. 6th August - Had a BMA and Biopsy on the Tuesday - and that night contacted with CML Next day conversation and by the 9th August which is my birthday - I started glivec - and like Vivian - My specialist and Nurse said down the hatch and absolutely nothing happened - my arms and legs did not fall off - so said exactly like my twin VIV - what next - and my specialist said GO HOME !! Looking back how niave I was but how extremely funny it was as well, as I said OK and home I went. _______________________________________________________________ Must go horses screaming for food - and Rugs on as it is going to rain.
