Guest guest
How long have you been on glivec at present? Only a few weeks or more than a month. My own experience: First 6 months - had pain in legs, bone pain and deep pain in lower back - in the long bones and deep hip pain. At one time could not walk properly from the bone aches in hips. Luckily only lasted a couple of hours at at time. As % went down so did the pain and aches and only then left with cramps which also were just great fun. Still get in feet and toes at times The deep spinal pain I can recall being very painful. I used to walk thru the pain - keep heat on any sore spots - and keep fully hydrated. If your pain and aches are so severe, please contact your specialist asap - so he can check you out - and recommend some support for you - that is what the specialist is there for. Earlier tonight I was having excruciating pain all over my body. It was mainly from my neck to my tailbone and also in my legs. I was in so much pain, I was crying and having chills. Is this a normal side effect of Gleevec. I don't take it with my other meds anymore. I take it with my evening meal and I drink a 20 ounce bottle of wather with it when I take it. I can't stand this pain anymore! I am feeling better after taking 2 darvocets and a vicodin about an hour after the darvocet. My neck and back still feel very stiff though. I would appreciate any input or advice on what I can do to deal with this. > Thanks so much, > >
