Guest guest
Hi. I think jaw clenching is stress related. Maybe you're more stressed from lack of sleep? MS dx 1989 LDN 16 months low dose naltrexone From: kaylee4848@...Date: Mon, 14 Jul 2008 14:09:27 -0400Subject: [low dose naltrexone] side effects??? Hi has anyone found themselves clenching their teeth, day or during sleep??? I keep doing this – trying to figure out if it is the LDN or not. Also am having worse sleep problems again……….. and I am about to move up to 4.5 tonight, but am dreading it – I didn’t sleep at all last night AND I took a whole 10 mg Ambien……… SeaLady ____________________________________________________________ Internet Security Software - Click here. Guest guest
SeaLady, I've caught myself clenching my teeth (not quite grinding) in the evening since being on LDN - occasionally. I try to pay attention to this because bruxism is a symptom of babesiosis, which I have but don't think it's active at the moment... No doubt, as someone else said, it could also be stress related - but there hasn't been any rhyme or reason to it on the days I've caught myself doing it, incl no apparent connection to my occasional sleep difficulties w/LDN. Fortunately it hasn't lasted. Sue ********* Mon, 14 Jul 2008 14:09:27 -0400Subject: [low dose naltrexone] side effects???Hi has anyone found themselves clenching their teeth, day or during sleep??? Guest guest
Hi everyone, It's me again with more questions. Earlier tonight I was having excruciating pain all over my body. It was mainly from my neck to my tailbone and also in my legs. I was in so much pain, I was crying and having chills. Is this a normal side effect of Gleevec. I don't take it with my other meds anymore. I take it with my evening meal and I drink a 20 ounce bottle of wather with it when I take it. I can't stand this pain anymore! I am feeling better after taking 2 darvocets and a vicodin about an hour after the darvocet. My neck and back still feel very stiff though. I would appreciate any input or advice on what I can do to deal with this. Thanks so much,
Guest guest
, I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV, but I've been thinking about your e-mail all day. I wonder if indeed the absorption of the Gleevec was being hindered by the other drugs you were taking all at the same time (I think I remember you mentioning that your absorption test showed no Gleevec in your system)? Maybe now that you are taking The Big G by itself it is having the opportunity to kick butt and take no prisoners. Maybe the bone pain you are experiencing is the Gleevec getting into the marrow and blowing up the bad CML cells? I have no idea if this is the case, but I do know when I started the Ariad trial I went through excruciating bone pain myself. In between taking pain meds and feeling sorry for myself, I visualized the drug blowing up bad cells in my marrow and likened it to the pain of multiple explosions going on in my bones. It did get better for me after about 3-4 days...hopefully that will be your experience...once your body adjusts you will start feeling better. In any event, I'm sure others have much better advice, but I wanted to throw this out there. Take good care of youself and I hope it gets better for you. Guest guest
Dear , Beth brings up a very good point. The bone pain can be unbearable, without pain meds. I hope that the pain you're experiencing is " GOOD " pain and you can get it undercontrolled really soon. God's Blessings, Jackie S.
