Guest guest
Tracey , My last record of platelet was for February and was 298 which is within the 150-400. I had labs done yesterday am hoping to get a copy of results next week. Thanks Anita ________________________________ From: traceyincanada <traceyincanada@...> Sent: Tuesday, August 25, 2009 7:55:41 AM Subject: [ ] Re: Is Sprycel a blood thinner Hi Anita, Sprycel has been known in some patients to cause their platelets to crash really low. This would explain excessive bleeding. Do you know what your platelets are? Tracey > > > > Does anyone know if Sprycel is a blood thinner. Guest guest
Thank you so much for the information. I will make a note to self for next week. You may want to ask your doctor to check your prothrombin time to see if you have a problem with clotting. Tracey > > > > > > > > Does anyone know if Sprycel is a blood thinner. Guest guest
Hi Tracey, Thanks again Tracey for all your knowledgeable input. just returned from the Dr. She seems to think I probably cut a more than just skin because I had cut it to the bone. Thanks again and I will pay more attention. My granddaughter (is 3) tells me to be very careful with knives because they are dangerous. She gave me one of her plastic knives from her kitchen recommended I use it. Wishes of a great week for everyone, Anita ________________________________ From: traceyincanada <traceyincanada@...> Sent: Tuesday, August 25, 2009 2:53:57 PM Subject: [ ] Re: Is Sprycel a blood thinner Hi Anita, If your platelets are anywhere near what they were in February then that certainly wouldn't explain the bleeding as those are great numbers.
