Guest guest
I wrote about a week ago complaining of a rash since lowering my prednisone to 2 mg. My Rheumy took me off methorexate and after about a week, the rash seems to be calming down. I'm hopeful that staying off the metho will not impact my condition because things are going really well right now. I like not having to take so many drugs! My main drug of choice right now is Humira (like Enbrel, but newer). And now I don't have to take the folic acid either. I got a new diet book - Eating Right 4 your Blood Type. Has anyone tried it? I like what it says for me. They claim all sorts of positive results for many diseases, of course. I'd be interested to hear anyone who has read the book and followed it. gloria
Guest guest
I'm not much into diets but I found an interesting article about the South Beach diet. I was particularly impressed with the role of white flour in weight gain and loss. Someone on another board says she tried it and lost 15 pounds in four weeks but I have no idea of her starting weight.. I think there is a warning in the article to use this under the care of a dietician or doctor. http://my.webmd.com/content/article/65/72554.htm Good luck and God bless. ----- Original Message ----- From: gloriarex@... Guest guest
I haven't read that book, but I am reading a book called _ THE CALCIUM FACTOR: - by R. Barefoot and Dr. Carl J Reich. As an EMT and a little familiar with pathophysiology, it is a very interesting read. I have even ordered the Coral Calcium and started taking it. Best Wishes, and welcome to the group. All input and suggestions, trial and error and real time experience is a great help to me. Jay > I wrote about a week ago complaining of a rash since lowering my prednisone to 2 mg. Guest guest
A woman at my church credits prayer and some diet to overcoming her RA. At one point she was pretty much bedridden (early 30's). She will only eat fresh veggies and fruits now, she's been eating this way for years. I don't know the details of the diet but her father once commented to me that he does not understand how she has been so faithful at dstaying on the diet. She says she will never forget the pain, that is her encouragement. Debi > > I got a new diet book - Eating Right 4 your Blood Type. Has anyone tried it? I like what it says for me.
