Guest guest
In my summer " crisis " that predicated my change from gleevec to sprycel I had an interesting conversation with the dr. I'm in my fifties, teach elementary, and have never thought of myself as a ball of fire. My hemoglobin had dropped to 8 point something and my dr said the chronic fatigue most of us cml patients feel is way underrated by us and others. We attribute our tiredness to our jobs, our busy schedules, and our aging. My hemo is up to 9.5 and I'm still not a ball of fire but I certainly feel stronger and I can think more clearly. I did do procrit at one point in my treatment. I did feel like a million bucks then but... it was the only time in my life that I had a breast cyst. Glad you're feeling better. Hope the transfusion effects last for awhile. Sent from my iPhone On Sep 17, 2009, at 7:05 PM, bethgalliart@... wrote: Alrighty then, want to come to my house next? ;-) [ ] new blood !! Guest guest
Beverly, Thank you so much for sending in this post. You brought a smile to my face when you said that you never thought of yourself as a ball of fire -- same here. I, too, have low hemoglobin. It is so good to hear that your doctor acknowledges that many cml patients deal with chronic fatigue. I know I sure do. It was much worse when I was working part-time at an elementary site, but fatigue is still my daily companion. Wishing you the best on Sprycel. Guest guest
Atta girl Bobby! I showed your post to my 18 year old daughter, and it made her smile. That is why she continues to give blood throughout the year. I'm so proud of her! ________________________________ From: ROBERTA DOYLE <rcd1929@...> < > Sent: Thursday, September 17, 2009 10:00:44 AM Subject: [ ] new blood !!
