Guest guest
Hi Lottie, I am doing good. Just very busy with family, college classes, and working. In the evenings I read a few posts but it takes extra energy to reply - well, to think anyway. I had labs yesterday and my wbc is 3.0, hgb 9.3, and plts 83,000. All falling gradually. I will have to hold when plts reach 75,000. But Ernie says that Len has held the drug 4 or 5 times so I am not worried. I had a BMA but the cytogenetics aren't done yet. Next appt is Oct 2nd. Congratulations to all of you. How is Jackie doing? Glad the BMT is off the table for you, Beth that is the best news yet. I know Bobby is tickled pink, or is it the " pink wine " ? Whatever you all are doing is going to bolster a lot of spirits for many who are looking for something better and thank goodness it is available. Bobby, I had 2 units of blood last week - vampire day for me and it makes me feel better for a few days. I'm still trying to get the Procrit shots back. My veins are so beaten up, they squirt blood all over the place when they have to take so many tests just to see if you need it. They should give it for compassionate use to avoid all the units of blood we have taken, but I get at least once a month and I'm done in and need another. If they give me 2 small units, then it's like I didn't even have the transfusion. That is probably why they have not raised my dose to the higher level, my counts are too suppressed. Wishing you all the best, always girls, Hands & hearts, Lottie Duthu
