Hello..

All my ear aches, which I had for 3 straight years were brought on by

allergy, went into sinus and then fluid in the ears. The regular syndrome,

antibiotics, and when they did not work. steroids.. I have found a natural

formula that I have been taking that seems to have it on hold for the time

being. IF I eat any type of dairy, the earache comes back.

Many doctors now are just recommending pain relief for a couple of

days because things usually resolve themselves in the same amount of

time as if you'd taken antibiotics anyway. Warm olive oil on it's

own is also helpful. Are you by any chance nursing? I used to put

breast milk in/on my baby's infected parts. (it's great for pink eye

too) Heat draws out infection. Lying on a hot water bottle wrapped

in a towel is something my mom used to have us do.

==>Dilute the oil 50/50. You can put drops into the ears too.

==>Fever won't necessarily help if his immune system is depressed.

Feed him good bone broth, the egg drink, cod liver oil and butter oil

would be good also.

You can use garlic/mullein ear drops - this is usually infused in olive oil

- you can buy it, or just make some by putting garlic in olive oil and

gently warming the strained oil and putting in a few drops. I think it

works best if you do it right away though before the ear infection has

progressed to the inner ear or something.

We sometimes have luck with homeopathics. Also, you could try the onion

thing: cut an onion in half and cook it face down in a skillet for a few

minutes to release the juices, then wrap it in a cloth and place it, still

warm, over the ear. supposed to be soothing and draw out the infection.

Finally, just wait it out. I lived on the couch with my dd for a week

during her only ear infection. I think she was around 2. She had a fever

the whole time, and wouldn't eat anything towards the end and was only

drinking breastmilk and kombucha. we were all getting rather worried about

her, especially my parents, but we waited it out, and her fever finally

broke and she was fine. We subsequently realized she wasn't tolerating our

raw dairy and she hasn't had another ear infection, and rarely anything else

except a cold here and there.

If it is " water in the ear " , I used a mixture of alcohol and baby oil

when I was a competitive swimmer, it worked very well.

Chlorine tends to cause yeast overgrowth, so it might also be yeast in

the ear.

Could be Swimmer's Ear. It hurts. Could try rubbing alcohol and water

mixture at half and half in the canal.

Dear Ivan,

I had the worst sinus infection I ever had when I was diagnosed and had the

doctor who was treating me done a CBC they would have discovered the CML sooner.

I can tell you that when I started Gleevec, my ears were constantly filled with

foul smelling fluid, and I had tubes put in my ears to relieve the pressure. I

had a hard time hearing and even got a hearing aid for the worst ear, the one I

use to talk on the phone. When I stopped

taking Gleevec, it gradually went away. We have many subscribers who complain

of swelling under the eyes and other body parts with weight gain, all caused by

fluid accumulated in the tissues. On stopping Gleevec, I lost 40# in a matter

of a few weeks. I laughingly said it was mostly between my ears, but literally

I had a lot of fluid there, too. LOL

Just recently I was diagnosed with pulmonary edema, but I also felt like I was

underwater with my ears, so if you have fluid in your ears or any other organ,

you could just as well have it in your lungs or heart. I would have it checked

out just to be on the safe side.

Good luck with that, we have to be on guard.

Hands & hearts,

Lottie Duthu
