Guest guest
HI GROUP, SAW MY NEW DR. TODAY, THE " OLD " ONE RETIRED, HE WAS THE ONE I REALLY DIDN'T LIKE. I LIKE THIS ONE, HE TALKED A LONG TIME, READ THE PAPERS I GAVE HIM IN THE ARIAD TRIAL. BUT I ONLY HAVE TO SEE HIM ONCE A YEAR, AS I SEE DR. TALPAZ EVERY MONTH, SO LIKING HIM OR NOT LIKING HIM IS NOT REALLY AN ISSUE. HE ORDERED A MAMMOGRAM, IT'S BEEN 2 YEARS,AND A BONE SCAN TO CHECK FOR OSTEOPOROSIS, IT'S BEEN OVER 5 YEARS SINCE I HAD ONE. MY LABS WERE ALL GOOD, THEY DON'T VARY MUCH FROM WEEK TO WEEK. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE RESULTS OF MY AUG. 31 BMA/BMB YET, TOO SOON. AND I DO NOT GO BACK TO ANN ARBOR UNTIL SEP 28. (COFFEE AND DONUTS WITH GEORGE!) Guest guest
-- Hi Bobby: I am in a similar situation with getting a new doctor. I have had the same Oncologist since my diagnosis in 1998, and now he is retiring. I heard the new doctor that is taking over is good. I will still have the same nurse, and she told me she is going to try to show him the ropes with regard to what my old doctor used to do. My concern is how knowledgeable he is with regard to CML. My advantage is that I have learned so much through the years, and I will know if he is following through like he should. I only go every 6 months, but I get all my testing in between on a regular basis. I do not see the new doctor until January, so I guess I will find out then what I think. You sound like your doing very well. Maybe I need some of your drinks LOL Take Care. Suzzie - In , ROBERTA DOYLE <rcd1929@...> wrote: > > HI GROUP, SAW MY NEW DR.
