Guest guest
Hello to all. hoping you are doing well. I pray for you all every day. I got a FISH test and the results was .00719. I don't understand what that means other than it has not yet went remission. Anyone shade more light on that result? Thanks,
Guest guest
First a big O!!! YIPPEEE!!! Number 1275 in the Zero Club Zavie Hi , There are many different levels of remission when it comes to CML. The first and most important level is CCR (Complete Cytogenic Response or Remission). This is when a BMB (Bone Marrow Biopsy) is done and there are 0/20 CML cells detected. The most complete level of remission is when you are PCRU. This is when there are no CML cells detected by a PCR test. The test can have several levels of sensitivity with the highest one being 1 in 1,000,000 cells. I suspect that the test you had was not a FISH test. The FISH test normally looks at 200 cells. It couldn't give a result like 0.00719. It would have to have been a PCR test. If it is indeed a PCR test result then it is an outstanding result. You won't ever have to worry about relapsing from your current level of remission.
