Guest guest
How did you get the check for $1,000? Did you have to request this reimbursement? From: bethgalliart@... <bethgalliart@...> Subject: Re: [ ] (unknown) Date: Thursday, October 1, 2009, 6:43 AM Yeah, the trial pays for all the procedures that are not " customary care " for CML. I didn't get the option of the money towards expenses, but hey I'll take the great results and feeling good. Heaven knows we have had more echocardiograms than most and I doubt it is a cheap procedure. Beth [ ] (unknown) Hi, I forgot to tell you guys something. I had an echocardiogram Mon. and the gal doing the procedure told me the drug company was paying for this and be sure medicare or AARP were not billed. That is a first, I have been in 6 trials, in 9 years, and have never had a procedure paid for by the drug co. that I am aware of. Now if they would just pay for the bma/bmb, that would be nice! Ariad also paid $1000.00 towards expenses, that was pretty nice too. a (Bobby) Doyle Brecksville, Ohio, USA DX 05/1995 02/2000 - Gleevec Trial/OHSU 06/2002 - Gleevec/Trisenox Trial/OHSU 06/2003 - Gleevec/Zarnestra Trial/OHSU 04/2004 - Sprycel Trial/MDACC, CCR in 10 months #840 - Zavie's Zero Club 09/2006 - out of CCR 04/29/08 - XL228 trial/U of Michigan 01/09/ - PCR 5.69 02/13/09 - XL228 trial ended due to side effects o4/13/09 - Ariad Trial U of Michigan 09/09/09 - PCR 0.017 04/13/09 - Ariad trial at U. of Michigan 09/09/09 - PCR 0.017 04/13/09 - Ariad trial, U. of Michigan 09/08/09 - PCR 0.
Guest guest
My nurse told me they would reimburse 1000. She said to save my receipts, so I gave her a bunch of hotel, gas, turnpike receipts, totaling over $1000, but my math is not real good, The U of Mich sent me a check for $916. I just emailed her and asked if my math was wrong, or was theirs? When XL trial reimbursed me, the check came from the U of Mich also. I would ask your nurse if I were you, she may not even be aware of this. good luck, getting money from anyone is something short of a miracle! a (Bobby) Doyle Brecksville, Ohio, USA DX 05/1995 02/2000 - Gleevec Trial/OHSU 06/2002 - Gleevec/Trisenox Trial/OHSU 06/2003 - Gleevec/Zarnestra Trial/OHSU 04/2004 - Sprycel Trial/MDACC, CCR in 10 months #840 - Zavie's Zero Club 09/2006 - out of CCR 04/29/08 - XL228 trial/U of Michigan 01/09/ - PCR 5.69 02/13/09 - XL228 trial ended due to side effects o4/13/09 - Ariad Trial U of Michigan 09/09/09 - PCR 0.017 04/13/09 - Ariad trial at U. of Michigan 09/09/09 - PCR 0.017 04/13/09 - Ariad trial, U. of Michigan 09/08/09 - PCR 0.017 From: jackie schneider <jschneider008@...> Subject: Re: [ ] (unknown)Bobby Date: Thursday, October 1, 2009, 4:59 PM How did you get the check for $1,000? Guest guest
Happy Thanksgiving to you too Bobby! During our post transplant training yesterday, the nurse commented that " next year " we will be much stronger to fight the germs so this year we need to be careful. It's temporary conditions. My heart goes out to those families that have loved ones in the military - their Thanksgiving will be missing something too. But with positive thoughts we will all be together VERY soon. God Bless, Jackie P.S. I talked to Lottie at the clinic Monday. She looks so good. We didn't get much of a chance to visit, but the little bit we did was sure nice. Before her and Jimmie head home, I hope to see her again. (most likely using the wrong password!) I am sure you are especially thankful this year, even if you can't be home with your family. Have a great day everyone, blessings, Bobby a ( Bobby ) Doyle, dob 12/17/29 DX 5/1995 Interferon 9 weeks/Hydroxyurea 5 years 02/2000 to 06/2002 Gleevec trial, OHSU 06/2002 Gleevec/Trisenox Trial, OHSU 06/2003 Gleevec/Zarnestra Trial, OHSU 04/2004 Sprycel Trial, MDACC, CCR in 10 months 04/2008 XL228 Trial, U of Mich. 01/2009 PCR 5.69 04/2009 Ariad Trial AP24534 09/2009 PCR 0.01 11/2009 PCR 0.034 02/2010 PCRU #840 Zavie's Zero Club
