Dear Jackie,

Good luck to you and your dad when you go back to Houston. I don't have to

be there until November 30 and my son has decided he is going to drive us there.

My legs are swelling up and I have pleural effusions, but am afraid that when I

go back to MDACC they will want to put me into a new trial. That's what they

did with Sprycel. Every drug is not for everyone and if I get out of this trial

and another doesn't work, I will have to start paying for them, and we all know

the costs. I am down to going every 6 months now, but if they put me in another

trial, it will be weekly trips again. Hope you have a good trip with good

results.

Hi Lottie,

That's nice of your son to drive you. It must be hard on you and Jimmie to make

that trip alone. 

My Dad is doing really good. He had good news but is sad that I don't receive

the same. I told him in time I will. It just takes me longer.

My next appt is Oct 30.
