Guest guest
Hi Lottie, I had this procedure years ago in my onc's office.....sat on the table, leaned forward against a support and he numbed between the ribs, _______________________________ Hi , You are right again, if I am having PE now, there is a strong probability that it will return, unless I take something like Lasix. I am going to address that with MDACC as soon as I get the results from my last x-rays. The doctors didn't know what it was, it is a white spot on the bottom of my left lung, that is my suspicion, because of my legs swelling and my eyes feeling like I am under water. My rheumatologist wanted to know if anyone ever drained any fluid from my knees and I said no one ever did. I wonder what she has up her sleeve besides her arm? I've had enough holes drilled in me. LOL This is for Bobby, my doctor is not tall and handsome, what should I do if he's short and not so handsome, but oh so nice, as he is always available. He visits the hospital to see his patients even when he is on vacation. I think I will stick with him, besides now he's the only pulmonogist left. My former one killed himself after he did a bronchoscope on me and the other one is leaving the LA swamps for the FL swamps. No one can understand that. LOL Back to , I use salt and vinegar in a Neti pot and have no problems with that. It's a recipe I shared last year with the group, a recipe my ENT gave me when I had MRSA in my sinuses of all doggone places. My mother used to have us gargle with aspirin when we had a sore throat, wonder if it would do the same for flu virus?????? My sister who is fast losing her memory said she couldn't take aspirin, so she didn't want to gargle with it. I told her not to swallow it and it wouldn't bother her stomach. Asprin gives me gastritis and so do a lot of other things. Remember when we drank a coke when taking aspirin, so it would dissolve and work faster for a headache???? Good tip for the lemon, will have to try that, too. I love hot lemon tea with honey in it. My mother believed in using both lemon and salt to treat colds and flu. In fact when I make green tea, I make it with honey and keep it in the fridge and just warm it up when I drink it. We didn't have green tea back then, but she saved the orange peelings, dried them and used that for sipping hot tea with milk in it. Keep using your hands and hearts everyone, we can all use a hand up, Lottie Duthu
Guest guest
I'll take short and fat and ugly anyday as to the tall handsome one that walked around thinking he was not only God's gift to women, but God Himself! He only stuck in the needle, never came back to see how things were going or to ask how I was, guess that was the nurse's job? a (Bobby) Doyle Brecksville, Ohio, USA DX 05/1995 Interferon/9 weeks/hydroxyurea/5 years 02/2000 - Gleevec Trial/OHSU 06/2002 - Gleevec/Trisenox Trial/OHSU 06/2003 - Gleevec/Zarnestra Trial/OHSU 04/2004 - Sprycel Trial/MDACC, CCR in 10 months #840 - Zavie's Zero Club 09/2006 - out of CCR 04/29/08 - XL228 trial/U of Michigan 01/09/ - PCR 5.69 02/13/09 - XL228 trial ended due to side effects o4/13/09 - Ariad Trial U of Michigan 09/09/09 - PCR 0.017 04/13/09 - Ariad trial at U. of Michigan 09/09/09 - PCR 0.017 04/13/09 - Ariad trial, U. of Michigan 09/08/09 - PCR 0.017 From: Lottie Duthu <lotajam@...> Subject: [ ] 's Response to Pleural Effusions " CML " < > Date: Tuesday, October 6, 2009, 4:10 PM Hi Lottie, I had this procedure years ago in my onc's office.....sat on the table, leaned forward against a support and he numbed between the ribs, ____________ _________ _________ _ Hi , You are right again, if I am having PE now, there is a strong probability that it will return, unless I take something like Lasix.
