Guest guest
To make a very long story short, I have lost my PCRU while on Tasigna, and I am moving to Sprycel on Saturday of this week. Can anyone give me some ideas of what to expect and anything that has relieved the side effects and adjustment period that you seem to always have to go through. Guest guest
Thank you, that is helpful. I thought Sprycel gave you the " runs " . Guest guest
Hi Matt, I would love to hear the long story. It doesn't make sense to switch drugs because you lost your PCRU. PCRU is not a goal of the top CML specialists. In fact, Dr. Druker says that all one needs is to be at CCR over a long period of time. Also, it takes 3 consecutive PCRs to determine a trend. Could you post your last couple of PCR results so we can see why your doctor switched medications. I find it bizarre is you asking this list about Sprycel and what to expect when you go on the drug. This is your doctor's responsibility to tell you what to expect. Guest guest
LOL.. I have some serious constipation..I have IBS with constipation and Sprycel has made that worse..I have found nothing gives me the runs and I'm lucky to produce a pellet with an enemia or suppository..I have a very very slow transit time..I Go about every 4 days if I am lucky.I use benefiber, mirilax, flaxmeal, coromega and stool softeners everyday along with the prescribed IBS meds..lol.. " going " is a real issue for me... Maybe others experience the Runs but my Dr said a side effect was constipation and weight gain..I got both those plus all the usual stuff..
