Hi All

we have identified this disease when my father started telling during his

regular walk , he had bone pain in the left side chest area. We thought it may

be due to his cardiac problem( he had  heart attack and did angioplasty longtime

back...i meant 7 years ago). but the oncologist told us that its because of CML

and after 3 weeks of veenat treatment also the same pain is there only during

walk. Please share your opinions.

Thx

Jamy

Hi Jamy,

With CML you can have bone pain, but also on the left side of your abdomen, your

spleen can become enlarged and this often causes pain and it also puts pressure

on other organs. The spleen does start to reduce in size when you go on the

medication, but this does not happen right away. I think his pain might be

coming from the spleen. Ask his doctor if he has an enlarged spleen.
