Eye pain question

Hello,

I was Dx with CML in May,08.I started on 400 Gleevec.Went to 600 Mg Gleevec as

I didn't have good enough numbers for the DR.s liking.I had alot of side effects

and eye swelling and some eye pain was just one issue.My levels were going the

wrong direction and with all the side effects the DR and I decided to try

Sprycel. I started Sprycel in August 09.I have no visible swelling of the eyes

now but I have terrible eye pain.It gets worse the longer I am on

Sprycel(100mg).I did see a Optho a couple months ago while I still had vision

Insurance.The Optho said I had a stigmatism and some far sightedness but all

else was fine.I got a pair of glasses for reading.I am diabetic and it is

controlled but they did check for glucoma and dilated them and did the pressure

test and everything..All seems ok.My eye pain is getting worse daily.I get

occassional headaches.I had a brain MRI done and nothing was seen.I take Lasix

to help with retention.I have gained 30 pounds since starting Sprycel and each

day I see a gain on the scale despite dieting(I have a lapband over GAstric

Bypass )So I have a very small stomach.

Is eye PAIN normal with Sprycel?

Why would it be getting worse daily? Any ideas what I can do?My CML DR.says it

is from the Sprycel.Drops don't help at all.I get some relief if I keep my eyes

closed but I can't get much done with my eyes closed all day.Norco and M.S

Contin does nothing for the pain..I have seen 4 Drs and no one has a clue except

blame Sprycel.Do I have to live with this pain?Any suggestions
