Guest guest
HI, LET ME EXPLAIN ABOUT THE PAINFUL PROCEDURE. WHILE I WAS IN AGONY, MY DR. CAME IN AND SAID, " GEE,IT IS A SIMPLE PROCEDURE, I DON'T KNOW WHY IT HURT?! " OF COURSE, HE HAD NEVER HAD ONE DONE, AND I BET THE DR. THAT DID THE PROCEDURE DID NOT EITHER. THE NEEDLE GOING IN WAS NOT PAINFUL, AND I THOUGHT THAT WOULD BE THE KILLER. WAS HURT WAS, THE MORE FLUID THEY DRAINED, AND THEY DRAINED 1 1/2 LITERS, THE MORE THE BODY HURT. I DO NOT KNOW WHY. AND AS I RECALL THE PAIN IN THE CHEST LASTED WEEKS AFTER THE PROCEDURE. I DON'T LIKE TO EXPOUND ON PAINFUL PROCEDURES LEST SOMEONE READING IS DUE FOR ONE? BUT WHAT HURTS ONE, I GUESS DOES NOT ALWAYS HURT EVERYONE. ANYWAY, LOTTIE, IF I'VE SCARED YOU, SORRY, OLE BUDDY, BOBBY a (Bobby) Doyle Brecksville, Ohio, USA DX 05/1995 Interferon/9 weeks/hydroxyurea/5 years 02/2000 - Gleevec Trial/OHSU 06/2002 - Gleevec/Trisenox Trial/OHSU 06/2003 - Gleevec/Zarnestra Trial/OHSU 04/2004 - Sprycel Trial/MDACC, CCR in 10 months #840 - Zavie's Zero Club 09/2006 - out of CCR 04/29/08 - XL228 trial/U of Michigan 01/09/ - PCR 5.69 02/13/09 - XL228 trial ended due to side effects o4/13/09 - Ariad Trial U of Michigan 09/09/09 - PCR 0.017 04/13/09 - Ariad trial at U. of Michigan 09/09/09 - PCR 0.017 04/13/09 - Ariad trial, U. of Michigan 09/08/09 - PCR 0.017 From: Lottie Duthu <lotajam@...> Subject: [ ] Quintuplets " CML " < > Date: Sunday, October 4, 2009, 3:03 PM Dear Beth and Bobby, Congratulations on your " report card " . We may soon have quintuplets on your new drug, Ariad. If my doctor decides that the SKI is causing my pleural effusions, I may well join the ranks of you, Jackie and Len. That would call for a celebration, since I have already met Len, Jackie and Bobby. My pulmonologist is already talking about draining my lungs, but I want him to confer with MDACC first, as he is not aware that the SKI could be the culprit. I remember Bobby talking about how painful the procedsuyre was. Y'all keep in keeping on, we always need someone to cheer on. Hands & hearts, Lottie Duthu
