Guest guest
Hi : I have Medco, and I agree with you that they have been great with delivery of my Gleevec. I do not know how your husbands worked, but I did not get a prescription from my doctor. They would just contact him, and let him know they need a new script for me. He used to write Gleevec 400mg one a day X 90 days with 10 Refills.     I think they mean that they have to get approval from your husbands doctor that he is in fact on the Gleevec, because its not your everyday ordinary drug. Also, the expense of it. I am pretty sure that is all you will have to do. Don " t worry about it, this is a transition from one insurance to another through your husbands employment. Since I have been on Gleevec, they have had to transfer me 3 times due to changes in Insurance Company. Never had any problem. I hope this information was of some help to you. A From: knottsm156 <no_reply > Subject: [ ] nextRx Mail Order Prescription Program Date: Sunday, November 8, 2009, 12:16 PM  ADVERTISEMENT Dear group: Does anyone get their Gleevec prescriptions through nextRx mail order prescription service? My hubby starts a new job tomorrow and that is the group we are supposed to get our prescriptions from. We've used Medco in the past and I never had any problems getting my Gleevec from them. In the paper work my husband received from his new employers there is something about getting certain drugs pre-approved. I'm afraid Gleevec will fall into this group. I've never heard of nextRx and can't find out anything yet because we don't have our RX cards. I may be worrying in advance.
