Jay and Prednisone

Jay, it seems that your 7.5 mg of Prednisone isn't doing much for

you. Usually within a few days it gives some relief if you have an

inflammatory disease like RA. I can think of three possibilities

and I can't choose among them:

1. Your dose of Prednisone is too low for the aggressive nature of

your RA.

2. You don't have an inflammatory disease like RA but some other

cause of your problems.

3. You don't react to medicines in a typical manner.

(There may be other possibilities I can't think of.)

I suggest you let your doctor know that things aren't getting better

so that he can change medicines or dosages if that is appropriate.
