Guest guest
Dear , I was so hoping that you had found your niche with Sprycel. I am on a sub-optimal dose of SKI 606 and I am plugging along like an old mule pulling a cart of firewood and I am not doing too badly. I found a pill on the counter that must have slipped through my fingers and while I had already taken my dose of 3 for the day, I popped that one, too. Within hours, my shin bones were screaming. If I am doing well enough on 300 mg., I don't know if I want to increase it and have the least desirable side effects. When I started Sprycel, the dose was 140 mg. a day. I could barely move from room to room and ended up in ER at MDACC with chills and fever. After a month, my BMA showed that it was working, but I could not function. If I could have slept my way through the ordeal, it may have worked for me, but I don't sleep when I am ill or have a fever. When I began to have pleural and pericadial effusions as well, I was on 20 mg. a day and the trial was over for me. In a matter of moments I was switched from BMS to SKI. I hope things work out better in time, there are many who do if they stick it out, but I have never heard of anyone needing as much sleep as you do, it seems to be an extreme case. Let's keep hoping that " this too shall pass " . Hands & hearts, Lottie Duthu
