Hi ,

I would like to thank you for all your hard work and for maintaining your

cool (however, since I can't see you, I don't know if you still have all

your hair-BG). I hope everyone can just take a minute to take a deep breath

at this stressful time of year before they post something.

I really appreciate all the tips, recipes and information I have received

from your site in the short time I have been a member because I know I have

much to learn.

Have a great holiday season

Marilyn

I'm an occasional poster, but I do have a recipe in the library *S*. I just

want to say, that you have done an excellent job, and you have my full

appreciation and moral support.

In Peace (during this wonderfully holiday season, and all the year thru)

I have seen so much pain in here this past 2 weeks alone ... relatives

sick, relatives dying, relatives who died, and more. I know there are

those in the real world and in the digital world who believe that if

you do not personally know the person afflicted with the pain, it

should not really matter to you. But I believe it is a hard heart

that cannot feel for another human being regardless of whether they

have a personal or professional friendship or acquaintance.

Whatever happened to caring about what others go through? I have seen

some of this here but wouldn it not be nice to see much more of it

here?

I agree and I am sorry that I have not been posting as much. I too

have been affected by things offline.

I am reading sad things and do not know how to respond. I hope that

everyone can get through the tough times they are going through

though.

I can see Tom's point. However, most of us also need a place where we can at least get things off our chests. I don't mean rants about things, but like if something is stressing us out or got us down, it sometimes help just to speak it, or type it as the case may be. I've found this helps me with certain issues even if nobody or only one or two people respond.

Its not a thing like misery looking for company. You can't get that here because people can very easily not read those posts. The trick is simply not to overdo it or do it too often. That can turn people off, even those who might wish to help.

Remember when we were told margarine was good for you and eggs were bad for you?

" Margarine was invented in a laboratory by a chemist in 1813. By the 1960s, when

cholesterol became a bad word, doctors were recommending margarine over butter

because it was naturally cholesterol free. A few years ago, however, it became

apparent that margarine's trans-fat not only raises bad cholesterol but also

lowers good cholesterol.

" In recent decades eggs have been demonized as being loaded with fat and

cholesterol to such an extent that doctors were recommending that adults limit

consumption to a few per week or else eat those tasteless egg substitutes. But

the cholesterol in eggs doesn't seem to have much effect on blood cholesterol

levels. And eggs are high in many essential vitamins, minerals and fatty acids.
