Guest guest
Even though this was published last year, it is still relevant and has some of our most reknowned oncologist dialoging about emerging therapies. The doctors presenting the forum are Dr. Goldman, Dr. Neil Shah, Dr. Jorg Cortes, Dr. G. Wierda, Dr. Leonard, Dr. Morton and Dr. Owen O'Connor, talking about the newest updates on different cancers. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Weirda at MDACC sometime after 2000. He appeared to be very young and I remember that he was very nice to me, even though he was replacing my doctor who had re-scheduled my appointment several times, but when they wanted to do it for the third time, I said, " No, get another doctor. " He came to see me on his day off and I was the only patient he saw that day. I had brought some glazed pecans that I had made and asked if he had gotten any. He said, " No " , excused himself and went looking for them. He returned with a big smile on this face and said he wasn't too late to get his share. I saw him a few times after that, but he was sitting at a computer in the back rooms across from the exam rooms. I hope you will find something that you can relate to. http://www.wellsphere.com/cancer-article/new-therapies-for-lung-cancer/79640 Emerging therapies 8/26/08 http://www.wellsphere.com/cancer-article/emerging-therapies-in-cml/79577 Inflammation, aging, and cancer: http://www.wellsphere.com/aging-senior-health-article/inflammation-aging-and-can\ cer/214073 Overcoming resistance to CML drugs: http://www.wellsphere.com/cancer-article/overcoming-treatment-resistant-cml/7978\ 9 FYI, Lottie Duthu
