" Some of the viruses present in birds are found in the egg supply. And because

many vaccines are made using chicken eggs as incubators, the viruses have also

been found in the vaccine stock - in particular, the shots against measles,

mumps, and yellow fever, according to the researchers. However, scientists have

not found evidence that the presence of the viruses is harmful to humans.

" Still, " These observations have serious public health implications and

reiterate the urgent need for studies to be conducted in subjects that have high

exposure to the (cancer-causing) viruses of poultry, such as workers in poultry

slaughtering and processing plants, " they wrote in the journal Cancer Causes &

Control.

" Study leader , an epidemiologist at the University of North Texas

Health Science Center, in Fort Worth, said the viruses pose no risk to consumers

who eat properly cooked poultry products, including eggs. But eating raw or

undercooked eggs and poultry or handling raw meat may be hazardous, he told

Reuters Health. "

" Researchers from Norway have reported that folic acid and B12 supplements in

patients with ischemic heart disease increase the risk of cancer and all-cause

mortality. The details of this study appeared in the November 18, 2009 issue of

the Journal of the American Medical Society.

" Observational studies have shown that diets rich in fruits and vegetables are

associated with a lower risk of some cancers. However, most studies of exogenous

administration of vitamins have failed to show a protective effect against the

development of cancer. The notable exception to this is large doses of exogenous

vitamin D, which appear to have a protective effect against the development of

colorectal adenomas, pancreatic cancer, and possibly breast cancer. " Rest of

" NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Childhood cancer survivors are 18 times more likely

to develop thyroid cancer than the general population, UK researchers report.

" Survival after childhood cancer has greatly improved over the last three

decades with 5-year survival 75 percent during the 1990s compared to 25 percent

during the 1960s in the United Kingdom, " Dr. Aliki J. , of the University

of Birmingham, and colleagues note in the latest issue of the International

Journal of Cancer. " More information at this website:

Lottie,

Who do you know would waste their time taking Vitamin D2,

which exogenous? Most folks today take Vitamin D3, which is very

beneficial. It even prevents pig flu, and or swine flu. Just so one

knows, no vitamin nor supplement has any side-effects like those

in medicine.

Thanks !Dory Doggie
