Guest guest
I've had one flu shot in my life. My mother was a devoted advocate of them and took them even in her last year of life although the last few years she got flu anyhow. My one flu shot she forced me to get during Christmas vacation in college. We were on the semester system so after Christmas was time for all the exams, turning in of many papers, etc etc. I went back to school and came down with a rip-roaring case of flu and had to stagger through all the above anyhow. I agree with your sister, I'll take my chances and work on my immune system. Of course if I worked in the health care industry I'd probably get them. But I won't take a swine flu shot away from someone who wants it. Hi, My sister is married to a man on the prescription/surgery treadmill. His quality of life is miserable. He has always faithfully received his flu shot. One year he talked my sister into getting a flu shot. Within three days, she had a raging case of flu. The next year she said, Do you think??, when she got a second case of flu. The third year, she dutifully got the third case of flu after her yearly shot and said, If I want to get the flu, I won't stick my arm out again! She has never had the flu again and avoids doctors. She now believes in alternatives and can see that world for what they are, " pseudo people without clothes " . Jean
