Hi, and Wow! what a weekend I've had.  Grand daughter wanted to try out

for a TV part, in NYC, she has no experience, but that is what they wanted.  So

I drove her and my daughter to Long Island, outside NYC, where we stayed with my

sister, and Sun. they took the train back into NYC for the interview.  We were

supposed to leave that night, to be here Mon. morning, but Jessie got a call

back, meaning she had to go in again on Mon. at 3, and we would leave from there

to come home.  Any of you ever drive in NYC traffic?  And try and leave during

traffic hour??  Let me just say, it is an experience!

We got a ticket for parking in a bus stop, that was only $115.00.  Then we found

a parking lot that was only $15.00 for the first hour and $20.00 for the

second.  We were there 70 min., cost $20.00

I doubt that  Jessie got the part , there were hundreds of people applying, but

i will say, this weekend was an experience.  Did any of you ever see the show

" skins " ?  I never did but it is quite racey from what I have been told.  The

part they gave her, and this is improv, was that of a young anorexic, bulimic,

nymphomaniac !!!  Now I wonder who thinks of these parts! And how does one make

up this role on the spur of the moment!! Especially at age 18 ?

Anyway, I drove the last 8 hours, got home at 1 am today, and I am going to miss

my lab apt. as I am too tired to make it. Anyway, that was my weekend, did any

of you have more fun than that?

Long Island is a 500 mile drive from my house, I feel like my butt is glued to

the car seat!!

ps I don't care where you have a get together, or reunion, Las Vegas sounds good

to me, but then any place sounds good to me. We sure have a lot of Californians

on this site!!
