Jonathon is taking reglan and zantac. he was switched from Tagament to Zantac about a mth ago. It is hard to tell if it is working. Aside from an stomach ache here and there and the sleepless nights he doesn't spit up or throw up anymore. The sleepless nights are fewer right now so I am thinking they are probably helping a little any way. Guest guest
, do they check his counts while on Zantac? One of the side effects can be a lowering of the white blood cell count...which none of our kids needs!!! It isn't the most common side effect, but it can happen..... Pattie I dont really know how well the Zantac now works for him seeing he still refluxes regularly, many times throughout the day. (Would he be worse without the med?) Last week his dr doubled his Zantac dose, deciding if this doesnt help settle things down a little (the past month has seen the refluxing grow worse than normal) he'll need to switch over to the the Losec permanently.
