[ ] Crown question

Hi All, RecentlyI went to a mercury-free dentist to have my amalgam's removed.Turns out when all is said and done I will be spending at least $5000.00. Of course I want them out anyway! The dentist said I will need 8-9 crowns. My question is what's the best to use. Is gold safe? My hair test indicated high levels of gold, is there a problem here? Can someone help me out with their imput? much Thanks! Patti

$5,000!!??!! Yikes! Did you have a hair analysis? I was thinking of having that done to show toxicity, taking it to my doctor and trying to get my insurance to cover it. We're not having this done for cosmetic reasons. It's a health concern!! The insurance SHOULD cover it, don't you think? Am I being naive again?

No expert, but I would stay away from all metals in the mouth. It

goes beyond toxicity. I had 4 crowns replaced and there are NO

metals in the mouth, metals cause some sort of electromagnetic stress

in the jaw and head. Don't understand it but I feel so much better

since going metal free. Beverly

Ok, I talked to Dr.Deb Baker and she said her patients absolutely do not have any metals put in their mouth! She also stated that if you have Gold and Mercury in your mouth at the same time it will gas off 100 times more!! She said we need to find good resin dentist who can re-build teeth with resins,or at the very least metal free. Looks like I'm back to square one!! Patti

Did he tell you based on complete notes and history found on your

charts, or just that he didn't think so?

Just because you take an xray of a crown, you CANNOT tell what's under

it.

I have a gold crown, and confirmed with the dentist that there's no

amalgam under it, is it safe to chelate or do all forms of metal need to

be removed first?
