Guest guest
-Hi Debbie: Yes I try to do 5 days a week (speed walk-jog with my dogs). I prob don't hit it as hard as you can on a cardio machine, but believe me alot of muscles and balance comes into play with 2 big dogs, and I'm always hot and sweaty when I get home. If you feel like your in a rut then yes--make a change, remember you should enjoy it and it should be fun. Some times a temporary- short term change is all you need to trick your body into working for you. So re-eval your nutrition along with your exercises and make an adjustment-then re-eval in a week or two to see how you feel it is working. It's a game we play with our bodies--continually trying to trick it into working at a higher burning rate. I've read that you can greatly benefit by adding a 10min high inten. cardio session once or twice a week on a day with a slightly lower carb intake, can increase your metabolic rate, burning more fat. It might be worth a try to shock your bod and give you that lift you need. Sometimes just seeing an old friend and having them comment on how good you look is all you might need to get out of the rut. You are a champ and you will succeed==Believe Taz -- In bodyforlifeegroups, " Debbie Holland " <debbieholland@w...> wrote: > , > Do you still run every day for your cardio? I'm beginning my week 3 of the challenge and I feel I'm in a rut. I feel I need more cardio to move the fat. My 3 days don't seem to cut it. I believe Laury does more cardio also. I've hesitated to do more-- don't want to get back into that " overdoit " routine. I've increased my intensity on the treadmill, but just not feeling good about this. > > Debbie
Guest guest
Debbie, Yes I do more cardio than Bill suggested. I love cardio. Can't seem to get enough of it. I mostly do it for the endurance. I need it at work to chase those bad guys. :-) But I do incorporate Bill's ideas into my workout. I usually use the elliptical trainer or the treadmill and increase the intensity every 5 minutes. I don't go for more that 45 to 60 minutes 6 days a week. But I found a killer workout in a magazine for the stationary bike which I might try next week. I like to switch my cardio apparatus once a week to keep my motivation up. ~Laury
