Activated carbon is used to remove certain toxins (Eg. Chlorine,

etc) in many water filters, etc. It is very descriminating in what is

does remove. Often used by the medical profession to " soak up " any

poison that someone may accidentally have swallowed. Sorry I cannot

remember exactly what it does remove and what it doesn't but my

memory is still " mercury impaired " :) Ask me again next year!!!
