We're also seeing waves of needing to discuss old hurts as my son becomes

more able to share his thoughts. It is amazing how things and people that

hadn't been mentioned in years are coming to the surface and working through.

Even when they seem so closed off, these kids are very aware, feel the

emotions and internalize them yet are not always able to express their

thoughts in a way we can understand. Anyone who thinks autistic kids don't

feel emotion is an idiot.
