Registration is now open for an eight day "Yoga of the Breath

for people living with HIV" course at Quan Yin Healing Arts Center (QYHAC)

The course presented by the Art of Living runs

from Friday, March 14 to Friday, March 21.

Weekday sessions are from 7 to 9:30 p.m. (except starting at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday and Wednesday) and weekend sessions are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All classes take place at QYHAC, 455 Valencia Street near 16th Street

in San Francisco.

What is Yoga of the Breath? The cornerstone of the course is a

profound breathing technique, the Sudarshan Kriya that releases

stress, supports immune function and increases awareness. The course

includes instructions and processes which offer insights into the many

habits of the mind that contribute to stress and detract from or

quality life.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to practice these

techniques at home on their on and join other participants for ongoing

weekly follow-up sessions at QYHAC.

Each class builds on the previous day so it is important that

participants be able to attend all 8 days.

Comments from previous courses:

"This workshop exceeded my expectations. It was the best gift that I

have given to myself in years."

"It was probably the most helpful thing I've ever done."

"It gave me peace of mind that I've never experienced before."

People living with HIV are able to attend on a full

scholarship basis.
