I am waiting for the ed consultant to come in and see what her recommendations are. I am not sure if I wasted the money yet but honestly I could have done what they have so far. I am still considering the homeschooling if they don't come up with a satisfactory program but mostly because they do not want him in the school. I have a few options like placing him out of district with better programs or just doing the homeschooling. I have gone this far and refused to back down at this point. The attorney has been in this district with other parents 3 times this week just to give you an idea of how bad they are. I will just have to wait and see what develops. I do know that this PPT meeting will not be pleasant. I was advised to let the lawyer do most of the talking last meeting not this time. I am ready for the whole lying bunch and have no intention of letting anyone do my talking again. I may teach the lawyer a few things or he may just be available to bail me out. I don't believe I would get out of bed in the morning if I had to deal with the stuff you are. Why don't you want to place him out of district in a better program? I missed all that some where along the way. I have always been a very likable person. Gullible to a fault, but likable. LOL I hate what the district does to me. I don't like the feeling that I can't trust anyone. I don't like playing these stupid games and all the red tape to do the things that should automatically be done for the kids. Such a waste of time and energy. Not to mention the wasted money on all the meetings and evaluations. Just seems so asinine I don't even want to be a part of it. Hi Gail, I hate it too but if every parent did this IDEA wouldn't have come to be.I often wonder what the parents went through while fighting for this legislation. I hate all this but you do what you need to for your kids. I could send him to another district but this is another option I would have to fight for in due process. Not to mention I can't remember what I read! LOL I'd sooner take the easy way out, and just school him myself. That way I don't have to know the laws and fight for what he needs. I would just do it and have peace in my life. I do appreciate all of you who do fight and make the advancements possible, but I'm just not capable of being one of you. I'm a whimp! I do need to finish this fight and have the last say. The outcome needs to be in my favor. I am exhausted and feel like going to bed but I will work on my school issues one more time. I need to make it the best I ever did. I also will be filing numerous state complaints when I am finished with the meeting tomorrow, new strategy.
