Guest guest
I just heard that Great Plains sent out a flyer related to CHOLESTEROL as well. But I think it was talking about LOW cholesterol as it mentioned Supplementing. I don't have the flyer - a friend called me about it. Anyone have it? Guest guest
He isn't by chance taking Actos or Avandia? That's been proven to elevate cholesterol. Guest guest
Hi Debi, No, he's not on any medication at the moment other than the nystatin and basic supplements. I've been following the Avandia controversy for a while-- yet another killer drug, huh? > > > > DS's cholesterol (he's slim but not skinny for a toddler, on GF/CF/SF, > > no junk food ever, main carb is sweet potato, loves fresh fruit-- all > > organic) was high according to recent blood tests. >
Guest guest
Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for information on it. The kids' testing was done through Genova this time. > > I just heard that Great Plains sent out a flyer related to CHOLESTEROL > as well. Guest guest
My son also has this 'genetic' high childhood cholesterol. I have yet to find anyone in my family or my husband's family that has high cholesterol. It is my belief that it is his body's immune response to try to clear metals. It is my understanding that the study on low cholesterol and autism showed that adding high cholesterol foods such as eggs and liver to the diet improved symptoms of autism. My son is more on the milder side of the spectrum, so it makes me wonder if the high cholesterol has mitigated his symptoms. Interestingly, I have a friend who recently was diagnosed with arsenic poisoning. Her doctor said it was due to her high fish comsumption (she is a vegetarian). Suddenly she has high cholesterol too. > > DS's cholesterol (he's slim but not skinny for a toddler, on GF/CF/SF, > no junk food ever, main carb is sweet potato, loves fresh fruit-- all > organic) was high according to recent blood tests.
