Thank you for your input, JoAnn!! :)

Right now I'm using some herbal teas and cranberry and feel better already,

hopefully I can get rid of this before having to get antibiotics...I haven't

been tested by a doctor (yet.) I read that 85% of UTIs are caused by this

one strain of bacteria (can't remember the name, of course..:) )

My my, and just a year or two ago I was bragging to people about how I'd

never had a yeast infection or bladder infection or anything..boy am I

choking on my words now!

joan,

i have been using the camera to take pictures of ashton's new school, the

bus, the library in her school, the playground, the nurse's office, the

classroom, and the cafeteria. i made her a school book so she knows her

routine.... i put the time of the activity on a sentence strip along with

picture and laminated it using the laminate from walmart....(picture of

cafeteria, then in writing, LUNCH, 11:30-12:15)ect...i made her the whole

daily schedule....i also used the pictures off todolearn.com like the

seatbelt one and put in by the bus , saying buckle seatbelt, then picuture

of real bus, picture of real school, ect......hope this doesnt sound

complicating to anyone.... but i think when she sees the real thing its

more meaningful.......gail was it you who said to leave it on cloudy??????/

i have better luck on leaving it on the indoor symbol......dont know

why.......joan hope i didnt confuse you...........lmao leah

ps the laminate works better than contact paper, it doesnt look as fuzzy

I'm not sure what the difference is between Coromega and

proefa (I don't have the bottle any more). All I know is

my son LOVES the taste of Coromega. I couldn't find

anything to hide the taste of proefa.

Hi,

I am interested in the new drug. I have tried everything over 40 years with

RA. Last week I stopped injections of methrotrexate since I was feeling a

lot of pain anyway. Let me know what other people are telling you, please.

Betty on another message board I watch there are several people on Humira, most of them doing pretty well I think. I'm on Methotrexate and Remicade and doing pretty well with that. The other board is http://www.arthritisinsight.com/cgi-bin/wsmbb/wsmbb.cgi?SB+KYWRJLLXVS/AKFCLKZQUN+config Good luck and God bless.

Sounds like while you where away the kombucha crawled out of the jar, and raded

the fridge, happens all the time to me....

Kombucha really loves sourdough starter!

Do you have any extra kefir grains? and what kind?

See you~

Hi, everyone-

I'm new to this group and very glad to have found you all.

I recently started fermenting different things (I've never done this

before except for yogurt & buttermilk). So far, I've fermented:

sourdough (wild yeast)

sauerkraut

dill pickles

bread & butter pickles,

yogurt

buttermilk

kefir

kombucha (in progress)

fish sauce (in progress)

beet kvass

It's been great fun! And interesting! People look at me wierd now;

but, now that I think about it, they just look at me as though I'm

MORE wierd than they thought. :-)

Anyway, my question has to do with my sourdough. I started it the

beginning of August, and it's only been in the fridge for one 4-day

stretch while I was gone. I feed it every morning 1 cup flour and

some water.

The last few days, when I uncover the bowl in the morning, I've

noticed a white dry film covering the entire starter. When I drag

my finger across it to see what it feels like, my finger comes away

dry. The film is pulled along with my finger, but then it fills in

quickly behind where my finger has gone. Hmm.... Is this the yeast

living on the top? What is this stuff?

Are you referring to the sourdough starter explained here? How does kombucha

like sourdough starter?
