But then hispediatrician also found lead poisoning seven times the upper limitinhis body.Chelation treatments, used to remove metals from the body, havereduced noah's lead levels and have made a huge impact."It was really powerful and amazing for us to watch. It wasliterallywatching a miracle right in front of our eyes," said noah's father,Rob Breakiron."We have a child here who is virtually indistinguishable from hispeers and that's certainly not what he was a year or two years ago,"added Pediatrician Berger, MD.Because the symptoms of autism and lead poisoning are so similar,Noah's parents say they will never know which one came first, autismor lead poisoning. But Noah is now making developmental strides beyond expectations. Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year.
Guest guest
Now drs. are finding some children who are dealing wioth both??? My boy was dealing with both back in 1999 and in fact it predates that to probably 1996. When I first started my autism journey back in 1998, there was no Evidence of Harm, there was no AS media blasts, Fombonne and Shattuck were unknown in the US, the ink was barely dry on Brick, and UC- had yet to look at the CA data. But what we had ten years ago was a fledgling internet community and one of the single largest common grounds that I found as I trolled the web looking for information was toxic metals, especially lead and mercury. These doctors need to drop the paternalistic arrogance , get down off their snooty high-horse and start listening to us. To think that the general pediatrician might still be unaware that autism, MR and lead are linked would be comical if the implications were not so dire. What the fuck good is all the media attention autism has been getting if it doesn't get a message like " screen these kids for lead immediately " through to the rank and file? It never ceases to astound me how many time we parents are going to be expected to reinvent the damn wheel. ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
When did China begin exporting their poisonous toys to the US by the way? If anyone has any doubts where our governement's prioities are just take this case. Free trade is more important than children. Also, what's the point of testing them for lead when mainstream's standard for safe lead limits is so high? I wonder what they would do if it were their kid? --- Dad Fourkids <dad_4_kids@...> wrote: > Now drs. are finding some children who are dealing > wioth both???
