Hi! I don't have RA, but I have a sister (in CHRIST) that is

suffering from it right now. It has attacked her left hip and now

her leg is so deformed that she cannot walk or straighten her leg.

She is 30 yrs young and has two sons 10 and 4. Her husband started a

new job and insurance won't kick in until July. She went to see a

specialist - her sister-in-law went with her to interpret. She said

the Dr. was very rude. They were told that she needs to have a hip

replacement ASAP or else she could lose her leg. She said she can

feel the hip bone is already out of the socket. She can barely make

to the bathroom much less tend to her children. Her husband, a

minister, is going through the guilt trip of not being able to help

his wife. He feels helpless watching his beautiful wife not being

able to walk without pain. I'm asking for help on behalf of my

sister to somehow get the operation she needs so she can continue to

raise her children. We live in the Central Coast in California. If

there are any programs that will assist her please let me know so I

can relay her the message. She is of Hispanic Descent and doesn't

speak English. Her sister-in-law doesn't know where to turn for

help. And she is very uncomfortable using the computer. She was

told of programs at UCLA Hospital that might be able to help her.

Thank you for any help or information that will point us in the right

direction we need to help her. GOD bless.

Hello, I was diagnosed at a teaching hospital after 13 other doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong. I strongly recommend that she try the programs at UCLA because they should have great doctors that work collaboratively, interpreters and studies she can be in to get free medicine. It's worth a try.

Take care,

in VA
