Project LINK is proud to offer the Capital Region a unique two day

conference opportunity with A-CHAMP's Gillmore, Hollistic

Nutritionist Lori Mershon, and Parent/Educator/Researcher Stan Kurtz.

Gilmore

Gilmore of Autism United and A-CHAMP will present strategies for

advocacy that will advance the interests of individuals with autism

spectrum disorders. will discuss techniques to empower parents

to affect the legislative process. He will focus on how his approach

has worked in New York State. will include a review of current

legislation and legislative efforts over the last two years. We will

be excited to hear 's update on A-CHAMP's Presidential Candidate

Questioniarre that was recently sent out to all the Republican and

Democratic candidates.

Gilmore is the father of a seven-year old boy diagnosed with

autism. He is a founding board member of A-CHAMP and is Executive

Director of Autism United. A-CHAMP mobilizes the autism community to

participate effectively in the political process by introducing and

passing legislation, and stopping undesireable bills at the federal,

state, and local levels. Autism United is an alliance of families and

individuals affected by autism spectrum disorders working with

professionals and organizations who serve the autism community.

Gilmore organized the introduction and passage in 2005 of New York

state's legislation controlling the use of mercury in vaccines for

children under the age of three and pregnant women. In 2006,

Gilmore assembled a coalition of autism related organizations in New

York to pass legislation prohibiting discrimination by health

insurers against people with autism.

A-CHAMP is a national, non-partisan political action organization

formed by parents in support of children with neurodevelopmental and

communication disorders. They are dedicated to advancing public

policy issues affecting our children, protecting their human and

civil rights, educating the public and media, supporting candidates

sharing our goals in state and federal elections, and holding

accountable those in government who do not act in the best interest

of our children.

Autism United's effort begins with families working together to build

community support, services and resources. Autism United will forge

their collective strength to improve the welfare of individuals and

families affected by ASD. Autism United supports professionals who

pursue treatment-based research that can help improve the quality of

life for people affected by ASD, find the causes of the autism

epidemic, and ultimately recover people affected by ASD.

Hello Everyone. The following is my " testimonial " I sent to

regarding Dominic's progress with Lori. We have only been seeing her

for about 2 months, and so far, I have seen some very nice results.

I know it all seems very weird. I am still struggling with

believing/trusting Lori. However, she has been right on with Dominic

from the beginning, including finding mercury, strep and yeast as a

priority initially. We had been battling PANDAS symptoms for about 4-

5 months with probiotics, and a million other supplements. Somehow

they disappeared after using some of the drops she recommended. Also,

the yeast symptoms have mostly disappeared, which is an incredible

miracle because this has been a huge problem forever. Since

November '06 Dominic has been on two prescription antifungals,

including ketoconazole, which is supposedly very strong. I have

completely weaned him off of the ketoconazole and he is now only

taking 2 of the 3/day doses of amphotericin. Anytime we ever missed a

dose in the past he would turn into a major stimmy, spinning,

scripting yeast machine. These have not been a problem since Lori

treated the yeast. It's crazy. He definitely has " detox days " at

least once a week where he has worsening of symptoms, but then they

clear up and he seems a lot better, less symptomatic. If it wasn't

happening before my eyes, I wouldn't believe it. Lori prescribed a

supplement (catalyn) with wheat in it also, and of course I was

worried, but truly it has not been a problem. The lactic acid wafers

(with milk) seem to affect him, behaviorally (hyper), but also seemed

to help other symptoms. So I'm going to be trying them again.

Dominic is on a fraction of the supplements he was on before, and

seems healthier and happier. He even had a much needed growth spurt

since starting with Lori, is more social, creative and independent. I

can't understand why, but it seems to be working.

Hi ,

I don't think it's voodoo, although its hard to swallow that you hold

out your arm and they can tell what is going on in your body.

I will tell you having neurological chronic lyme and a whole bunch of

other auto-immune issues going on she has helped me. I agree, I was

hesitant about certain supplements having wheat and it has not

bothered me, after being GFCF for over a year. If you ask she will

explain why it shouldn't bother us. Also, anyone I have referred

including Gabe, (my hubby), she has been right on target.

, you're right, what comes up the day you are tested is what

your body shows as priority. Which means Logans body must be

struggling with the viruses currently as opposed to the heavy metals.

Once the viruses are out of the body the heavy metals will show up on

the testing. So far, when I mention this nutrition response testing

to people, many have heard of it or had it done by their

chiropractor.

When I went with my big bag of supplements I tested negatively to

every single one. Now, Lori explained that this doesn't mean that the

supplements aren't right for me but in my case my body was under more

stress due to weakness taking them than not. I stopped taking

everything and very slowly started taking what Lori recommended my

body needed. I had severe tachycardia from the Lyme, which Lori

recommended the Cardio plus. This is a supplement that gives

nutrition to the heart, which lessens the amount of energy the heart

is using to beat. The result was within a week, the tachycardia was

gone and it also improved my reflux, I was amazed! Now, I will take

this until my body shows it is strong enough and doesn't need it any

more.

Yesterday, I had a phone consult with Dr. Bock and he though it was

great that this is helping me and he felt it is making me stronger.

When my body is ready we will very slowly start to add Dr Bock's

supplements one at a time. I do respect that Dr Bock listens to what

I say and respects my opinion. That's alot more than many mainstream

docs.

Stan Kurtz

Stan Kurtz has agreed to come to the Capital Region and give an

exclusive presentation for Project LINK with an extensive question

answer period. Stan Kurtz's moving multimedia presentation documents

his son Ethan's recovery from autism, and Stan's recovery from IBS

and ADHD. Stan is the Owner and Executive Director of The Children's

Corner School. This seminar will include Stan's unique approach

that has transformed the way educators and families think about

schooling for the individual child.

In 2004 Stan Kurtz's only biological son Ethan was diagnosed with

autism, a crippling condition for Ethan and a devastating blow to his

family. After being told that Ethan was " too autistic to learn " ,

Stan a technology executive and crisis intervention counselor

abandonded his career and devoted himself exclusively to helping his

son.

Stan Kurtz is a teacher, educator, and health researcher who acquired

The Children's Corner School and transformed it into one of the most

individualized schools in the country. The Children's Corner employs

a combination of traditional education with a unique whole-family

Stan received his teaching certificate at the University of
