I don't know. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think this would ever have

gone over in the NYC I knew prior to Giuliani's Disney gentrification.

Now Manhattan seems to be full of vapid 25 yo millionaires and

cowering, gawking ( " Oh, look, isn't that a *transexual*? Shriek! " ),

transplanted Midwestern traders trying to make the Upper West Side into

midsized city America, who let Bloomberg's neo-fascist crowd control

policies subdue any hint of activism (the Republican convention?). The

NY'ers who would have kicked up a storm over this seem to be gone.

Probably to the same place they sent all the homeless. Grrr.
